ACE Credit Union
ACE (Area Community Educators) Credit Union is Mason City's Credit Union for educators. ACE Credit Union has been serving contracted employees of Mason City Community Schools and North Iowa Area Community College since 1933.
The Board of Directors created this term scholarship in 2004 to support their membership and their families. Members of the Board include NIACC employees, Mason City Community School District employees and retirees from both institutions. This scholarship is awarded to a second year NIACC student.
"In light of budget cuts and state reductions in funding, scholarships provide opportunities to deserving students," Ellen Kay, Chief Financial Officer of ACE Credit Union and NIACC alum, stated. "NIACC and the NIACC Foundation have a positive impact on the North Iowa community and we are proud to be part of this scholarship program."
