MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center
Since 1916, Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa a religious, not-for-profit community health care system, has offered health care services for people throughout North Iowa and the surrounding area.
Mercy Medical Center's mission, "to work together and with other to continue the healing ministry of the Church, promoting the well-being of people in the communitites we serve by living the values of Compassion, Respect, Excellence, Stewardship and Concern for those who are poor," is evident in the service to communities of North Iowa.
As a major referral center of North Iowa and a secondary level health care provider, Mercy provides the best of all worlds, the family atmosphere of a hometown health care center along with the technology, services and resources of a major modern medical center.
Mercy Medical Center regularly receives national recognition for safety, innovation and and quality of care. Mercy has also consistently been named one of the nation's top 100 hospitals for cardiovascular care by Thomson Reuters.
Though the establishment of this scholarhsip, Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa will assist future nursing students and medical program students in receiving an education.
